Passing Things - Radford Bridge
When things pass from us, it leaves an empty space because some of our memories seem to pass with it. This is the Radford Bridge as we knew it. Some of us got to see it from this angle, most of us did not. There was a kind-a beauty in those cold girders, the angles and lines. This bridge, even though it was actually in Radford meant a lot to all of us at pulaski High School. After all, one of our favorite Hamburger places was at the Pulaski Side of it. Some of us fished under it, and explored caves near it. New River Bridge looking from the Pulaski County Side

Just one more thing we thought would last forever, or at least all our lives.

I use to wonder why my Dad would get all serious looking when he would talk about things that were no longer around. Things he saw, played on, or remembered driving by.

Well the bridge is still here, remodeled, changed, not like it was. not the same bridge we drove over anyway. They Built a New Bridge..
