When
you are from a small town time usually moves slow. It didn't seem that
way in Pulaski. It seemed like we always had something going on. Crusing
main street, one of our favorite drive-in hamburger places, or driving
to Claytor Lake State Park.
Martin's
Pharmacy was another meeting place to get a coke or a hotdog before or
after a movie. The Pulaski Theater was conveniently located next door.
Get a Coke for a dime and a hamburger for 35 cents.
A
lot of us had jobs down town and spent our afternoons or Saturdays
working. Anyway it was a great place to live.
